Hotel Giada is a 2 star property with 15 newly renovated rooms in front of the Cappelle Medicee, and 100 meters from the Duomo. The hotel is right in the San Lorenzo square, overlooking the church that gave the square its name and the central market Mercato Centrale. The Santa Maria Novella Station is about 300 meters. The nearest airport is 5 km, and it's 7 km to the nearest motorway exit. From the entrance (there is also an elevator) you can go up the stairs to the first floor, and enter from the glass door. The hotel is very accommodating to families with children, and has many rooms for up to 4 people.

All the hotel rooms, recently renewed in a typical florentine style, have private safe, mini-bar, air-conditioning and hairdryer. All the bathrooms are new, with shower and hair-dryer. Held in bright blue and white tiles. Most rooms are towards the small street below on the other side of the San Lorenzo Square, and have double windows to prevent any noise.

The district of S.Lorenzo, known all over the world for its lively market, is one of the most fascinating and typical market-places of Florence with the unfinished church of San Lorenzo, built in 393 and reconstructed by Brunelleschi in the middle of the 1400, the Medici Chapel with its marvellous sepulchres made by Michelangelo and one of the most important artistic and cultural sightseeing routes of Florence. From Airport:
The easiest way to reach the hotel from the A.Vespucci airport is by bus. There is a bus every 30 minutes from the airport to the central train station. The tickets may be purchased on board and cost Euro 4,00. If you want to take a taxi the fare can be around Euro 20,00.

From Station :
Since the hotel is located just 300 meters away from S.M.N. train station, you can easily get to the hotel by foot. Take the arrival-side exit and turn right going toward Piazza dell'Unità. Once you get there, take the street (Via del Melarancio) between Grand Hotel Baglioni and Grand Hotel Majestic. At the end of the street you will get to the San Lorenzo area. Hotel Giada is located right behind the Medici Chapels, in the middle of the street market. A taxi will cost approximately 8,00 Euro.

From Motorway:
- If coming from Rome the first exit is Firenze Sud. - If coming from Milan, Venice, Bologna or Genoa the first exit is Firenze Nord. - If coming from Pisa or Siena the roads will lead directly into the city. After exiting the motorway, first follow the signs indicating the centre and then the ones indicating S.M.N. train station. Once you are at S.M.N. train station get into the square located in front of the station (Piazza dell'Unità) and take the street (Via del Melarancio) between Grand Hotel Baglioni and Grand Hotel Majestic. At the end of the street turn right and after 20 meters, on the left, you can see Garage Giglio (Via del Giglio, 24r) where you can park your car at a cost of 24,00 Euro per day.
